Rockin' around the Fitness tree
So many of us will be moving about the globe this holiday season; be it for family gatherings or fun in the sun. Here are a few quick tips I recommend for any time you travel.
-Follow a routine as closely as possible- Now is not really the time to try a bunch of new things. Pick a plan and stick with it. Staying true to one course of action will lead to major progress.
Using Fit Co. on the Go videos on demand is a great example of a fitness plan you can pick and stick with during your travels. Practicing the videos daily will help your body get used to the movements, minimizing chance for injury or confusion. Since the workout is full body, you will get a balanced workout, you can measure your progress by counting your reps and challenging yourself to do more each time!
-Skip the excuses: vacations typically = indulgence and laziness. However, keeping a short workout routine will increase your energy and enjoyment of the trip. The Fit Co videos are perfect for me because they are only 20 or 30 minutes long, leaving me with plenty of time to enjoy the sights and scenery. If I have a super busy day ahead of me, I opt for the quick 7 minute workout in the morning. Working out in the morning boosts my energy and helps me make healthy decisions all day!
-Keep it simple: it doesn't take much. Overthinking leads to excuses. You don't need a fancy gym or fancy equipment. Just choose a small place, lay down your mat, or towel, turn on your workout video and get to work!
